Fulani heardsmen: Commit the situation into God’s hand – Gov. Ugwuanyi

The executive governor of state, Ifeanyi couldn’t hold back tears when he visited Ukpabi, Nimbo, in Uzo-Uwani local government area of the state on Tuesday morning.

The governor who came to see the level of danages and also to sympathise with the victims of the village, which had been attacked on Monday.

The governor was accompanied by the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Nwodibo Ekechukwu, the GOC 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru and the Enugu State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.

Gov. Ugwuanyi also declared two days fasting and prayer in the State and urged the residents to commit the situation into God’s hand.

One more dead resident, who was slaughtered by the herdsmen was recovered.
Most of the survivors are still receiving treatment in different hospitals in Nsukka.
