Premiere: Game of Thrones Season 6
Game of Thrones Season 6 is almost here with just few weeks away.
The first Game of thrones season 6 clip, and it is teasing what we are all desperately awaiting confirmation for: is Jon Snow going to stay dead? is Arya blind? what is the faith of Sansa and Stanis?
We’re still more than two weeks away from the premiere, but HBO has started releasing some details about the season’s first episode.
HBO announced on Thursday that the first episode will be called “The Red Woman,” is written by showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and directed by Jeremy Podeswa.
HBO also published a cryptic synopsis of the premiere episode: “Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again.”
The creators really want to hammer that point home, don’t they? We all know that Jon Snow died at the of the season 5, but many believe that Melisandre (the “Red Woman” mentioned in the episode’s title) will bring him back to life in some capacity during the course of the season.
As for Daenerys, the last we saw her, she was being approached by a group of Dothraki. Could the strong man in question be the leader of the group? And finally, it sounds like Cersei will learn about the sad fate of her daughter.
Winter is coming alright…in the spring. Game of Throne season 6 will premiere on April 24, 2016 simultaneously worldwide. If only we could say the same about The Winds of Winter. Alas, the several weeks of delay will not help publishers who had hoped to have a sixth novel in book stores by late March. Still, Westeros fans have plenty to savor in the new year, as this ominous poster portends
